Why is Black History Month meaningful to you?Ìý
Black History Month is significant to me because it celebrates the achievements of our culture, both in the past and present, and highlights how we have overcome various challenges and setbacks.Ìý
How does your cultural background influence what you chose to study?Ìý
I have a passion for coaching and working with athletes to help them improve both on and off the field. I recognize that, especially for athletes of color, I can provide mentorship and guidance to help them excel not only in sports but in all aspects of life.Ìý
What is one of your most meaningful memories at º£½ÇÔÚÏß?Ìý
One of my most meaningful memories at º£½ÇÔÚÏß was our first Black Student Union Chapel in 2023. We had the incredible opportunity to play traditional African American church songs. It was amazing to see people worshiping freely and experiencingÌýchapelÌýin a new and refreshing way.Ìý
Anything elseÌýyou’dÌýlike to share?Ìý
My time at º£½ÇÔÚÏß has been absolutely amazing.ÌýGod has done so much in my life during my three years at this university. I encourage current students at º£½ÇÔÚÏß not to be afraid of stepping out in faith. God can open many doors, but you must be willing to walk through them. If you want a community, create one. If youÌýdesireÌýchange, then be the change. You will be pleasantly surprised by what God canÌýaccomplishÌýwhen you have a heart willing to follow His direction.Ìý
