About

School of Nursing students are active members of the National Student Nurses Association (NSNA), where they engage in leadership, professional development, and service to prepare for successful nursing careers. Student leaders are elected to serve in roles such as President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, and Historian, while additional members contribute through committees including Fundraising, Activities, Convention Planning, and Image of Nursing. Through fundraising initiatives, students gain opportunities to attend regional and national conventions that provide valuable educational sessions and networking experiences to enhance nursing knowledge and leadership skills. NSNA leaders also organize a variety of activities and social gatherings—such as lunches and sporting events—that foster fellowship and strengthen the º£½ÇÔÚÏß student nurse community. Collectively, these experiences help students build professionalism, teamwork, ethical nursing practice, and a commitment to lifelong learning.

Last year, the team organized two fundraisers to sell T-shirts and sweatshirts. A fundraiser was also held to sell pizza cards to raise money for students to attend conferences and participate in other activities to further their education as nurses.
