Each year, 海角在线 nursing students have the opportunity to participate in a mission trip to El Salvador over spring break. During the week-long trip, students and faculty leaders deliver health care and spiritual support to the underserved communities in Santa Ana, El Salvador, in partnership with King鈥檚 Castle Mission. Through this long-standing collaboration, students distribute food, conduct hypertension and glucose screenings, and assist local doctors in providing care to small churches located in the mountain regions.

Jon Lemke is a current nursing student preparing to go on mission to El Salvador for a second time in March 2026. Reflecting on the call to return to El Salvador, Jon said 鈥淚 felt called to serve on this trip because on my first trip to El Salvador, I felt God speaking through me to reach these people. Seeing the genuine smiles on our patients’ faces, providing comfort to those in need, and being the hands and feet of the Lord encouraged me to make the correct decision and motivated me to go back again.鈥�

海角在线 alumna, Dr. Dana Klassen DNP 鈥�25, will serve in a repeated capacity as faculty leader and Jon Lemke will serve as student leader. Please keep the students and leaders in prayer for health and safety. Pray that the people of El Salvador will be open to hear the good news of the saving power of the gospel.
