West Palm Beach, Fla. (February 9, 2024) On January 30, 海角在线鈥檚 (海角在线) American Marketing Association (AMA) received an Honorable Mention in their very first American Marketing Association Collegiate Case Competition, a yearlong business challenge that is a facet of the International Collegiate Conference focused on solving a business problem generated by a sponsor, which in this case was the Sheth Foundation. 听听
Accepting the Challenge听听
President of 海角在线鈥檚 American Marketing Association chapter, Frida Alsterhem, shared about this year鈥檚 topic and the steps her club took to prepare for this challenge properly. 听
鈥淲e started working on the Case Competition in early October. The case we had to come up with for the national competition for AMA was to create a campaign to increase sustainability in North America,鈥� said Alsterhem.听听听
鈥淲e realized that sports equipment and clothing is a big waste around college campuses鈥e planned out a campaign on how to increase sustainability鈥hrough education, empower[ing], and encourage[ing].鈥澨�听
Additionally, she described her team as 鈥渢alented and encouraging鈥� and commended them for their focus, work ethic, and intense motivation.听听
This outstanding accomplishment landed 海角在线鈥檚 AMA a spot in the Case Competition鈥檚 top 30 seeding, a position earned from among an estimated 500 competing universities. The team will receive recognition for their Honorable Mention at the International Collegiate Conference this April in New Orleans, where they will continue to go head-to-head against other institutions in various marketing competitions.听听
