At a time when many colleges and universities are grappling with a significant decline in enrollment, º£½ÇÔÚÏß (º£½ÇÔÚÏß) stands out as an exception.
This fall,Ìýº£½ÇÔÚÏßÌýwelcomedÌýtheÌýlargestÌýincomingÌýclass in its 55-year history, defying the prevailing trend. A total of 844 undergraduates joined the º£½ÇÔÚÏßÌýstudent bodyÌýthis fall,ÌýbringingÌýtheÌýuniversity’s overall enrollment to 3,875.ÌýThisÌýnumber marks a two-year increase in enrollment for theÌýinstitution.

Of the 844 new undergraduate students, 678 are freshmenÌýand 166 are transfer students.ÌýBased on students’ self-reporting,ÌýamongÌýnew students,Ìý39Ìýpercent identify as white,Ìý23Ìýpercent identify as two or more races,18Ìýpercent as Hispanic,Ìý10Ìýpercent as Black or African American,ÌýtwoÌýpercent as Asian, and a little over two percent ofÌýstudents’ ethnicityÌýareÌýunknown. ThisÌýmirrorsÌýthe diversity of theÌýwiderÌýstudent body.ÌýOf the total student body, 49Ìýpercent identify as white, seven percent identify as two or more races, 18 percent as Hispanic, 10 percent as Black or African American,ÌýtwoÌýpercent as Asian, andÌýfourÌýpercent of students’ ethnicity are unknown.ÌýThe º£½ÇÔÚÏß student bodyÌýcomes fromÌý48 states and Puerto Rico and 83 countries of origin, including students with F1 visas, permanent residents and dual citizens.Ìý
º£½ÇÔÚÏß offers more than 100 different programs and pathways as part of its wealth of attraction.ÌýThe university expanded itsÌýundergraduate programs with the addition ofÌýthe Bachelor of Science in Engineering,ÌýwhichÌýlaunched in fall 2023.ÌýUndergraduate degree programs with the largest incoming enrollment includeÌýnursing,Ìýbusiness,Ìýbiology,ÌýpsychologyÌýandÌýexerciseÌýscience.Ìý
In May 2023, º£½ÇÔÚÏß earned Ìý(Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business)Ìýaccreditation for the Marshall E. Rinker Sr. School of Business.
