Eight students have been chosen as the outstanding graduates of their schools and were recognized during º£½ÇÔÚÏß’s fall 2011 Honors Day ceremony on Thursday.
The honorees were biology major Natalie Diaz of Cooper City, Fla., outstanding graduate in the School of Arts and Sciences; accounting major Julia Vezina of Oviedo, Fla., outstanding graduate in the Rinker School of Business; theatre arts major Anna Kelly of Roanoke, Va., outstanding graduate in the School of Communication and Media; psychology major Nicole Trauschke of Lake Worth, outstanding graduate in the School of Education and Behavioral Studies; organizational management major Natalie Alvarez of Palm Springs, outstanding graduate in the Catherine T. MacArthur School; cross-cultural studies major Abigail Elliott of Tiverton, R.I., outstanding graduate in the School of Ministry; graphic arts major Abigail Beard of Anderson, Ind., outstanding graduate in the School of Music and Fine Arts; and Joshua Keck of Orlando, Fla., outstanding graduate for the Orlando campus. Keck is pursuing a master’s degree in leadership.
To be eligible for an Outstanding Graduate Award, the student must have a minimum 3.5 GPA based on 60 credits or more earned at º£½ÇÔÚÏß.
In addition, two students were honored by their departments: Amanda Johnson of Fort Myers, Fla., Elementary Education Department, School of Education and Behavioral Studies; and Katia Martinez of Deerfield Beach, Fla., Secondary Education Department, School of Education and Behavioral Studies.
They, along with other graduates, will receive their degrees in a 2 p.m. ceremony on Saturday, Dec. 17, at the Palm Beach County Convention Center in West Palm Beach.
