 students, alumni and faculty excelled in leadership and research at the  annual meeting in Orlando this month.
- Fourth-year student Alex Shantiai won the Paul Magalian Scholarship, which recognizes students with significant accomplishments and service to the profession. Shantiai was one of two students in the state to win the scholarship.
- Fourth-year student Anjali Talwar was installed as the student member on the FSHP Board of Directors. She will oversee all seven student chapters of FSHP at other schools of pharmacy.
- Dr. Krisy-Ann Thornby, associate professor of pharmacy practice, is vice chair of the Ad Hoc Research Council.
- Dr. Yasmin Grace, associate professor of pharmacy practice and a GSOP alumna, became vice-chair of the Membership Affairs Council. Dr. Erenie Guirguis, associate professor of pharmacy practice, concluded her term as chair of the council.
- Dr. Elias Chahine, professor of pharmacy practice, marked the end of his term as FSHP president.
- Students Brooke Johnson,ÌýTara-Talisa McIntoshÌý²¹²Ô»åÌýRicardo Nuñez Medina participated in a Quiz Bowl.
- Five º£½ÇÔÚÏß alumni, Keysha Bryant,ÌýJoseph Cammilleri,ÌýStacy Carson,ÌýKristen de AlmeidaÌý²¹²Ô»åÌýSimone Edgerton, presented continuing education sessions.
- Four students gave poster presentations.

- Khallid BensonÌý²¹²Ô»åÌýAlina Hung, along with faculty Drs. Jay Jackson,ÌýErenie GuirguisÌý²¹²Ô»åÌýMariette Sourial, had a poster Pharmacist-led motivational interviewing to improve vaccine confidence in the racial/ethnic minority and low socioeconomic South Florida population.
- Shay Marchionne, along with former faculty member Dr. Jordan Sedlacek and former post-graduate resident Dr. Katerina Lambrinos, presented on Assessment of billing practices by clinical pharmacy faculty in ambulatory care and community settings.
- Anjali Talwar presented with Drs. Yasmin GraceÌý²¹²Ô»åÌýAnne HarringÌý´Ç²ÔÌýAssessment of human trafficking education in the pharmacy curriculum.
