TAMPA, Fla. (March 13, 2026) – The º£½ÇÔÚÏß (º£½ÇÔÚÏß) men’s track team competed at the Tampa Spartans Classic on Friday.
º£½ÇÔÚÏß’s day was highlighted by a standout performance by . He set two school records in the 1500m and the 800m. He took home first place in the 1500m with a time of 3:52.26. Later in the day he earned fifth in the 800m running a 1:54.08.
The Sailfish had several personal records in the 1500m. set a new personal record and placed fifth in the 1500m, running a top-five time in program history (4:00.80). earned ninth with a personal best time of 4:06.46. finished 12th with a personal best mark of 4:10.34.
Payne set another personal best in the 800m, finishing 11th with a time of 2:01.89.
earned a seventh-place finish in the 5000m with top-three time in program history. finished 29th with a time of 15:55.42. was right behind him in 30th with a time of 15:58.19. placed 40th with a time of 16:59.90.
The Sailfish competed again the following weekend at the UCF Black & Gold Invite in Orlando, Fla.
