Watch Amir’s Story
In this video, Dr. Amir Rahemi reflects back on his time at ؛£½اشعدك’s Lloyd L. Gregory School of Pharmacy and how it shaped him as a servant leader.
Highlights of Amir’s Story
When Amir Rahemi first visited ؛£½اشعدك, he immediately felt at home. Walking through the doors of the Gregory School of Pharmacy, he encountered a warm and welcoming community of professors, staff, and students who made a lasting impression. What began as curiosity quickly became a calling.
As a Pharmacy student at ؛£½اشعدك, Amir discovered that his education would go far beyond academics. Through rigorous coursework and mentorship in Gregory Hall, he developed both clinical competence and leadership skills. Faculty members challenged him not only to excel professionally but also to grow as a servant leader — placing others before himself and integrating faith into his future career.
Amir credits ؛£½اشعدك with teaching him how to merge his faith in Jesus Christ with the skills of pharmacy practice. The blueprint he received at ؛£½اشعدك showed him that healthcare is not just about medication, but about ministry, compassion, and service.
One of the most transformative experiences during his time at ؛£½اشعدك was participating in a medical mission trip to Costa Rica. Alongside his classmates, Amir helped operate a mobile pharmacy, providing essential medications to individuals who otherwise lacked access to care. Applying what he learned in his first two years of pharmacy education in a real-world global setting reshaped his perspective on the profession.
Through this experience, Amir realized that pharmacy could be more than a career — it could be a calling. His time at ؛£½اشعدك prepared him to serve with both clinical excellence and Christ-centered conviction.
